Obedience Realized has demonstrated that there is a litany of ways to dominate and to submit. A popular BDSM activity that can be added to this list is hot wax play. Hot wax play involves dripping or spreading hot wax on the naked skin of the submissive. There are a couple of different ways that the wax can be prepared. In most cases, the Dominant uses a candle or a solid block of wax, and (using an open flame)melts the wax and lets it drip onto the skin of the submissive. Another method is to use a crock pot or wax bath to melt larger amounts of wax and spread or pour it onto the submissive’s skin. The heated wax creates a brief and abrupt burning sensation on the skin and almost immediately solidifies. This can be a very sensual experience for the submissive and the Dominant can use the boy’s body like a canvas.
Although applying the wax can be intense- the real fun can be in its removal. If the boy is hairy- be sure he knows that when the wax is removed, there is a good chance his hair will be removed with it (which may be the whole point of the scene). The fun doesn’t end there, though. Immediately after the wax has been removed, the skin beneath it is often twice as sensitive as it was before (think of the possibilities!!).
As always, there are some important things to keep in mind when playing with hot wax:
*Not all waxes are the same, as they will burn at different temperatures. Paraffin and Soy candles will burn at lower temperatures while Beeswax candles burn at high temperatures. To give you an idea, even the low-temperature burning candles typically melt at around 135 degrees Fahrenheit. Although a lot of people will say that this play is entirely harmless, it is possible to burn/injure someone if you are not careful with what you are using.
*Be very cautious not to accidently drip wax in the submissive’s eyes, and do not try to drip or spread wax into any internal cavities (mouth, rectum, etc.).
*Be sure to look closely at the area of the body that you are going to drip or spread the wax onto and be sure to avoid cuts and wounds.
*Just as all waxes are not the same, not everyone’s skin is the same. Be certain that the submissive can tolerate the wax before playing heavily.
Hot wax play is one more genre of kink with a lot of possibilities to add to BDSM sessions. As always, have fun and play safe guys!!

One additional note that might be helpful, is that when removing the wax it should all be removed prior to getting into the shower. While the hot water will help soften the wax and make it easier to remove, it can also gather in the drains where, when allowed to cool, it can create a major plumbing problem.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy hot wax - and don't regret cooled wax clogs!
baby oil the skin to be waxed, then when its time to take the wax off..its much easier to do
