Fisting

Master David at work

Today’s subject is not for the squeamish or faint of heart. It is an action that is considered very edgy. Fisting is the placing of a person’s hand into the rectum of another person. Lets start with a discussion of some basics.

Fisting is something that a submissive needs to work up to. A submissive may want it more than anything, but if his hole has not been trained, it will not happen. With understanding and hard work, the submissive will eventually be able to submit his body to his Dominant’s wishes.

In the interest of disclosure, I must tell you that I have fisted men but have never been fisted myself. As the first picture shows so well, Master David is quite handy at fisting (did I just says that?). Cleaning out the colon is very important for this action. As any gay bottom knows, an enema bag can be very helpful. As the difference between a cock and a man’s hand can be considerable, the cleaning that is needed is also a magnitude larger.

A bit of medical information is needed here. The rectum is a strong muscle area that is six to nine inches long. It can be very accommodating when it is allowed to get used to the object being placed in it. If the submissive is in severe pain, something is wrong. Take it slow and everyone will be happy. The sigmoid colon is about sixteen inches long and is connected to rectum. This is where most fisting takes place. For those out there that are into deep penetration, the descending colon and transverse colon are next.

I would like to make a few safe recommendations. I defer to those Dominants that are more versed in the practice. That being said, gloves and lube are a definite must for fisting. I, and many other fisters, enjoy using Crisco vegetable shortening. It supplies a sufficient amount of lubrication and the body treats it as “vegetable”.

Fisting is a comparatively safe activity when precautions are taken. It is a very visual and visceral series of actions. It can be immensely satisfying for the Dominant and the submissive. For more information on fisting, FFA/CAC is an excellent source of online information and contact with expert fisters.

  1. For the uninitiated, you should know that fisting usually doesn't actually involve making a fist shape with your hand. The most common technique is the "silent duck", where the fingers are collapsed to make a more cone shaped shape with your hand. Here's a link to a pic of the silent duck from wikipedia:

Of course for more advanced fistees, rapid fire "punching" with a full fist, double fisting, and going up to the elbow are not uncommmon. But no sane individual would expect a beginner to start with those techniques.

It took me three months of practicing with progressively larger butt plugs before I could take my Sir's fist, and he has relatively small hands (which - before there is any snickering - does not bear any relation to the size of his other parts). It was a lot of work to get to that point, but well worth it in the end (ok ... you can snicker there). Just remember, you can have my heart if you can reach it ;)
