Body Modification - Tattoos

Body Modification in the context of BDSM is a definite art. It is used to inflict pain and make a permanent change in the submissive. There are several ways to do this but I would like to talk about tattooing.


Tattooing has been around as long as humans have had ash and sharp tools. Pre-historic man mixed ash and sap to form their first tattoos. A person can have a tattoo and have nothing to do with the BDSM community. Some people in the community do use tattooing to either mark their property or to show their love and loyalty to a Dominant.

The above picture is an excellent example of a BDSM tattoo. It is on the super hot Pup Dave and shows his love and service to Master David. Master David's last name has been pixlated out. Anyone that has been tattooed will tell you that shading is the most uncomfortable part. I think it feels like taking a stick and rubbing it against your arm over and over.

There is some pain to be had in tattooing but the reality is that it is normally not even close to the pain we play with. The interesting thing to watch is the submissive getting the tattoo. I have watched several and it is almost a religious experience. At first, the submissive fights the stinging of the needle. Then, either the submissive is reminded or remembers why he is modifying his body for the pleasure of his Dominant. The submissive will then accept and seek the pain. It is an awesome sight to see.

I have two boys and my first is getting tattooed tomorrow. He is being tattooed with a tattoo of my design. Boy Jake has a work issue that would preclude him from wearing my collar at home or work. This tattoo will be my collar.

As with many tattoos, Boy Jake’s is very symbolic. The barbed wire marks him as property. The chain represents his service and gift of slavery to me. The rope symbolizes Jake’s life being ties to mine in all its different ways. The Arabic script is a phrase that is close to my boy’s and my heart. Because I created it, I can guarantee that no one else has one just like Jake’s. In a way it is like a cattle brand.

There are health risks that must be addressed about tattooing. Clean needles are required under state laws. The tattoo artist will take the needles out of sterile packaging in from of you. If not, get up. Also, if you have a tendency to bleed a lot, The tattoo may take longer to heal. The biggest no-no is never drink or drug before a tattoo. The artist is liable and will not do the work.

Tattooing is a BDSM activity in its own right. Enjoy it sensibly. Get inked.
